What have we been up to this fortnight?  Not a lot on the personal side, but we are going to beautiful Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast this weekend for a couple of days R & R.

Just to let everyone know, Kenneth and Jane Mortimer are unable to continue coaching with Sales Champions due to pressure of other work commitments, and we wish them all the best.  So, if you know of a Coach who would like to fill the NE Brisbane sector, please encourage them to give us a call.

Tax Time - Your Wake Up Call?
Because there's No 
Hiding Your Results at Tax Time

Well, the end of the Financial Year is with us. And now's the time when we can look back at the past 12 months, because this is MEASURING TIME - the time when the real results of your business activities are written down, in black and white (or maybe red). 

Either we can review our financial performance with satisfaction, or as a time of missed opportunities. Which will it be for you?

Right now, it's time to add up all of your successes, translate them into dollars and see how your business performed for the last 12 months.

What a great opportunity!

Because now you can take a detailed look at how you performed, what you did - and even more importantly, what you should have done but didn't!

As sales people, we have a tendency to gloss over our shortcomings.  When we have slackened off, we say "That's OK, I'll catch up with that later", and "The next deal or two will see me right".

[firstname], did you write a plan for this year in December?  If you did, what a great time to measure your progress - halfway through the year, and it's all written down in front of you.  And is it a time to congratulate yourself?

Or a time to wake up out of your comfortable mediocre life?
You know the one that has been sucked in by the media driven "market-tightening, boom-finished" mindset, that "nothing is happening, so it's OK if I'm not doing anything."  Is this you?

Believe me, if you've been lulled into that frame of mind, your "ignorant" competitors, who don't know and don't care that the news is full of doom and gloom, are taking your business.

Do you think people stop selling and buying? The numbers may taper and there may be some lulls, but that's the same in every industry.

If that's not you, (and you're the one eating everybody's lunch), congratulations - you are really going to enjoy tax time.

What 3 things are you doing about your business for the next 12 months, to make sure you fly high at all times, in every cycle?

Maybe your results as shown by your tax return, show that all is great. You're on track.  Everything that could and should have been done, was achieved.

By the time the next Sales Coach is due out on July 21, you should have done your numbers for the 03/04 FY. You will know the plain truth about your performance, for good or bad.

If it's been good, let us know - we want to congratulate and celebrate with you.

If the truth hurts, however, then as the saying goes "NO REGRETS, NO EXCUSES".  There's no point beating yourself up over a poor performance, because that won't salvage anything, not even your pride.

The only thing that will get you back on track is ACTION!  And the reason why so many people have trouble taking action? They just don't know where to start.

Well, here's a 5 Step Action Plan for you to start the New Financial Year with.

  1. Call your local Sales Champions Coach
    Go to the right column on this Newsletter or go to http://www.saleschampions.com.au and click on Coach Directory in the left hand sidebar for your nearest Coach

  2. Book an appointment with your Coach
    For a Complimentary Sales Analysis Session (these Sessions are worth $295, and will take between 60 - 90 minutes, but are so valuable for you and your business) 

  3. Bring your results for the past 12 months with you 
    Your sales, commissions and a summary of your activities for the last 12 months

  4. Bring your goals
    So your Coach has a good idea of where you are in relation to your desired results.

  5. Bring an open mind

    We just want help you get to where you want to be (and beyond - we'll help you to expand your mind and set bigger goals as well!)
