Here is your latest subscribed edition of "The Sales Coach" by Sales Champions, your Australian Real Estate Sales Coaches.  The Sales Coach is your fortnightly eNewsletter that includes tips and articles for helping you to improve your sales within the Real Estate Industry.

 

We've had a really social time in the past couple of weeks!  Dinners, birthday party and an Opening Celebration at Rez Restaurant and Bar, a fantastic restaurant in Boundary Street, West End (Brisbane).  That was a great night, thanks Rory and for bookings phone 07 3846 1644.

 

Oh, nearly forgot, our Logo concept and new business cards, etcetera, are this close () to launching!  We finally got there, thanks to Helen at Club Creative 07 3257 4555.  You know with the changes dictated by the Office of Fair Trading to what you can and can't call yourself, now might be a good time to revamp your business cards!

 

Our crowning achievement for this year is the Champion's Sprint Programme, which grew from a collection of sales tools we developed for clients on an as needed basis, to a completely integrated programme.  And what a Programme.  It can take an Agent in 6 - 12 weeks from adhoc unfocussed time wasting activities (don't be offended, our Agents have told us this!), to having tools and systems in place that will make sure you achieve your goals, make more sales and save yourself hours at the same time!

Planning for a Big Year in 2004?

Ever heard the saying "If you decide on what you don't want, then that's all you're likely to get?"

Well, it's true - if you have no plans or goals for 2004 for your business, then you will get exactly what you aim for - nothing! And if you focus on what you don't want, that's inevitably what you'll get.  Inconsistent sales, unfocussed activities, more wasted time - look back at 2003 and tell me what you see.  

Did you have goals for 2003?  (And I mean your own personal goals - not targets set for you by your Principal).  If you did, were they big, clear goals?  And did you reach them?

Well, the experience of everybody who is in business, particularly in the training and coaching field, is that the sooner you set your own goals and then work a plan out to achieve them, then the sooner you will get where you want to go.

The trouble most people have is that they dream up a wish list of things they want, without making sure they have the basic business foundations in place so they can achieve them.  Without a framework of business systems and the tools to use within those systems, you're just thinking pie-in-the-sky stuff - not goals.

One of the first things we ask Clients to do is to establish their goals (not so hard).  

Then we ask them to clarify them, measure them and establish a time frame (getting harder).  

Finally, we ask them how they are going to reach them (now we're into really difficult territory!)  

Have you ever done this?  Naturally, it's so much easier when you have a coach to support you.  

It is exciting though, to set some goals, then work out exactly what you have to do to reach them - and what your life will be like when you do!!

Unfortunately, a lot of people don't even look around them to see what tools they have available to help them.  

If you look over to the right, you'll see a short list of Fr^ee Reports that can help you to build your business - there's even more on the Sales Champions website!

If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail.

Your 2004 will be exactly how you want it to be - if you take the time now to set things in place and follow through on the actions you set for yourself.  If you haven't got some goals of your own, how do these sound?

  1. 50 Sales a year

  2. Work 40 weeks of the year

  3. Work 40 hours a week for those 40 weeks

  4. 75% of your business comes from repeats and referrals   

Sound good?  These are the minimum medium term goals we have our Clients aim for. It won't happen overnight - but it can happen if you plan for it to happen.
